🚛 Tire Violations
Poor tire maintenance is not just a mechanical issue—it’s a serious safety risk. Inspectors will be checking for:
- Low tread depth and audible air leaks
- Flat tires or casing showing through
- Bulges, tread separation, and improper repairs
- Objects stuck between dual tires
Proper tire maintenance can prevent accidents, reduce fuel consumption, and improve vehicle longevity.
📋 False RODS Violations
Hours-of-service (HOS) rules are in place to prevent driver fatigue. Inspectors will be alert for:
- Tampering with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Ghost drivers or improper co-driver claims
- Misuse of personal conveyance or adverse condition exemptions
- Falsifying off-duty status while performing work
Accurate RODS are essential to stay compliant and avoid fines or out-of-service orders.
