Common questions

Does a pickup with a trailer count? It can. The 10,001-pound line uses the combined weight rating when a truck tows a trailer.
Do the rules apply if my trucks never leave the state?Usually, yes. Most states, including Georgia, apply the same safety rules to in-state trucks. CDL drug and alcohol testing applies in every state.
Does the checker save my information?Only your answers, to improve the checker. It never asks for or saves names, emails or phone numbers.

This page explains the rules in general. It isn’t legal advice, and exemptions depend on the details of your operation.
